climbing mount kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is, with its 5,895 meter, not only the highest mountain of Tanzania, but even of the entire African continent! In Swahili language the word Kilimanjaro means 'shiny hill', in the Maasai language 'mountain of the sources'. The mountain is surrounded by rainforest, where many animals live, like elephants, buffalos, rhinoceros, leopards and monkeys.
Imagine yourself, sitting on top of mount Kilimanjaro, at sunrise lokking over the vast African plains with its animals. An experience you'll never forget!!!

The best periods of the year to do so are January to March and August to October, with the most cloudless days.
